Frequently asked questions
WaveGenerator
| Q: | Can the WaveGenerator run under TS4 ? |
| A: | It certainly can! The WaveGenerator tsx has been fully tested under Truespace 3.1, 3.2 & 4. |
| Q: | Can I use the Tsx Extender to launch the WaveGenerator ? |
| A: | While the WaveGenerator is able to operate under the Tsx Extender, doing so can cause problems & it is strongly recommended that you launch the plug-in from the native Truespace TSX panel. |
| Q: | Is there any difference in the operation of the WaveGenerator under different versions of TS ? |
| A: | There is a small difference in WaveGenerator 1.5's operation between TS3.1 & TS3.2 & up. Under TS3.2 & above you will be able to access all the functions of Truespace while the plug-in is open , under TS3.1 you will only be able to use the navigation & rendering tools without causing the plug-in to close (this is because of advancements in TS3.2). |
| Q: | I applied the effect to the selected object but it seems nothing has happened, what's wrong? |
| A: | Nothing is wrong! In order to refresh the object & see your effect/animation just press Truespace's PLAY button & Viola ! |
| Q: | I try to apply an effect to a deformed/metaballs/IK object but nothing happens, what gives ? |
| A: | The WaveGenerator can't apply its effects to these kinds of objects as the Truespace extensions API does not give the ability apply vertex animation to these objects. If you wish to apply an effect to them you can, but you'll first have to turn them into regular polyhedrons - for example, for objects with animatable deformation, activate the deform tool, press delete to erase the deformation lattice (the green & orange lines) , now you'll be able to apply your effects. |
